With continued growth, we are now looking for an Application Developer to join our team.
The Application Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining our in-house traveller profile and database tools, building exciting new online traveller tools in a fast-paced and fast-moving business.
To assist and develop and implement systems to ensure we are utilising best in class technology within the company for all business processes and procedures. Aiding in documentation of any implemented processes and in house-built technology.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong technical experience: building complex integrated PHP based applications
Analytical and Methodical
Being a team player and having a keen eye for detail is a must!
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
3+ years’ commercial development experience
Extensive PHP and Laravel knowledge
Excellent knowledge in all types of API’s (SOAP & Restful) and XML
Excellent knowledge of MySQL
Ubuntu & Windows Servers
GDS (Global Distribution System) – Beneficial but not essential
C# – Beneficial but not essential.
A developed understanding of website and interface aesthetics would also be an advantage.
Assisting the rest of the development team to enhance the development and maintenance of applications.
Build new features with consideration for testability and extensibility.
Participate in design and code reviews
Building reusable code and libraries for future use
Design, create and maintain API’s that we can leverage flight / hotel & rail data from our customers to book.
This role will report into the Development Manager.
