INTRODUCTION
You may already know that the Gray Dawes Group are wholly owned by the Inchcape family, who are equally committed to reducing our impact on the environment wherever possible. To support us in our quest for a more sustainable future, they offered to work with us on our Green Christmas project.
While most people were dreaming of a white Christmas towards the end of last year, here at Gray Dawes we were making plans for a green one…
OUR PROJECT
At Gray Dawes Travel we know that sustainability is an incredibly pressing issue within the industry; a challenge which we are truly passionate about.
To show we care about working towards a brighter future, we took the chance to make Christmas slightly greener in 2019. For every Christmas card we sent, we committed to planting a tree in the Inchcape Family Estate in Scotland.
We achieved a total of nearly 2,000 trees planted!
WE’RE DREAMING OF A GREEN CHRISTMAS
On the 21st November 2019 we held our sustainability themed event, ‘We’re Dreaming of a Green Christmas’. We invited our clients, suppliers and propsects along to discuss many of the issues the industry is facing today and collectively pledge to start making the necessary changes towards a greener future.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
There are many different ways in which travellers and airlines alike can do to reduce their carbon footprint. For example did you know If each passenger reduced the weight of their bag by 1KG we would save 4,000 tonnes of CO2 each year? Just small actions such as this can make a massive impact on the future of our planet and becoming more sustainable.
