Middle East Travel Update

Tensions in the region remain elevated following the initial military action and subsequent retaliatory activity. As a result, airspace restrictions, airport operational limitations and short-notice airline schedule changes continue to impact travel to, from and within parts of the Middle East. Several carriers are maintaining temporary suspensions, re-routing services around restricted airspace, or operating reduced schedules as a precaution.

What This Means for Travel

  • Ongoing flight cancellations and delays across impacted airspace
  • Continued re-routing of long-haul services that typically transit the region
  • Short-notice operational changes as airlines respond to security and government directives
  • Heightened airport security and potential ground-side disruption in certain locations

This remains a fluid and fast-moving situation, with updates issued frequently and sometimes at very short notice.

What Gray Dawes Travel is Doing

Our teams continue to work around the clock to support your travellers.

  • ALWAYS ON staffing levels remain elevated
  • We are continuously monitoring government travel advice, airline bulletins and airspace restrictions
  • Our Operations Team is reviewing itineraries in priority order based on travel date and level of disruption
  • All travellers identified as affected are being contacted directly, with re-booking and re-routing solutions offered where available

We are also beginning to receive very preliminary information regarding potential repatriation or additional sector flights from parts of the region. At this stage, details remain limited and subject to change. We are actively working to validate this information with airlines and official channels and will engage directly with impacted clients should viable options become confirmed.

What We Ask of You

Please continue to ensure travellers remain contactable via the details in their booking profiles

If travel to the region is planned in the coming days, consider whether it remains business-critical
