HEAD OF CLIENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT

MAIN PURPOSE

Working as part of the Gray Dawes Business Leadership Team to lead and manage the Client Project Team and personally assigned client projects to be delivered to the agreed scope and timelines. They will ensure that Client Project plans, methodology and documentation is rigorously followed and continuously improved.

The Head of Client Project Management will be responsible for performance and development of the client project team primarily focused on implementing new clients.

As part of the role, they will understand the commercial performance of each project and identify new client commercial opportunities from the project commencement date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall ownership of client project delivery working closely with the Director of Account Management & Client Projects.
  •  Monitor performance, motivate and develop staff members within the Client Projects team.
  • Design, implement and continuously update plans and documentation to support the project.
  • Work with clients and sales team to rigorously scope and communicate project requirements, confidently challenging internally and externally as required.
  • Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues across the business and partners in the UK and overseas.
  • Record and regularly communicate project progress to senior management using RAG status reporting.
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks using RAID methodology.
  • Ensure delivery of projects to the agreed plan on time.
  • Complete a review and debrief of each project to identify opportunities for improvement and collate these across the Project portfolio.
  • Work to maximise overall client adoption of the travel programme from day one with support from Marketing, Sales & Account Management teams.
  • Understand the commercial positioning of each project to ensure this is maximised during the implementation process with services, products and initiatives proposed to the client wherever possible.
  • Have a thorough understanding of all systems in the company and how they interface with each other and the Projects being implemented.
  • Promote company supplier relations policies
  • Play an active role in the leadership of the business through the Business Leadership Team

Requirements – Essential:

  • Knowledge of business travel market +5 years
  • Project / Implementation management experience
  • Experience working with clients either in a sales, technical, account management or consultative basis +5 years
  • Good external knowledge of key Travel technology and desire to keep up to date with the market
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to manage a range of competing demands
  • Able to confidently and appropriately challenge clients & colleague understanding, scope and response.
  • Able to visualise, develop and communicate business solutions
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
