It’s a place that will keep the whole family entertained and with multiple hotels located on site, it’s easy to get around the park which saves loads of time. In short, Walt Disney World caters to all the family, and will make sure everyone has a blast regardless. You really want to go Walt Disney World during the summer, being an outdoor theme park you always want the best weather!
Ghent, Belgium– A lot of people who visit Belgium tend to go to the more popular Brussels, however if you fancy something different then why not take a trip to Ghent. It’s the largest city in Belgium and also has a car free centre, perfect for exploring on foot or bike. The Gravensteen Castle is definitely a must see, you will be greeted by a friendly knight who will direct you towards the castle stairs, just imagine the kids’ faces when they get to sit on a king’s throne! When you’re done with that, you could maybe take a trip down the canal and enjoy the architecture as well. The ideal time to visit Belgium is either in the Spring or Summer because to do a lot of these activities you want the best weather possible.
Japan– The land of the rising sun is very underrated as a superb family holiday. Japan mixes tradition and modern high technology into one. It has a very broad spectrum of places to visit. One moment you may find yourself up Mount Fuji taking in some stunning natural views and the next you could be Tokyo or Osaka viewing truly wonderful cities. Japan is also home to the world’s fastest train, the Bullet train and when you’re done with that you could take the family to Yudanka and visit the snow monkeys at the hot springs. The best time to go to Japan would be in the Easter time as this is the blossom season!
Italy– If you fancy a more high-end experience, and have great food, a warm climate and some stunning views then Italy sounds like the holiday for you. There are plenty of destinations to choose from, whether it be Naples, Rome or Sorrento. You will be amazed by the hospitality in which the locals will show you, and the food is some of the best you will taste whether it be the pasta in smooth tomato sauce or the home made authentic pizza’s. Or if you fancy a walk you could head to the Gran Paradiso National park, one of Italy’s oldest national parks. Again, like Orlando and Belgium, usually the best time to visit Italy is in the summer months, as a lot of the enjoyment here comes from the outdoors so you always want the best weather to accompany that.
La Molina, Spain– Yes you read that right, skiing in Spain! A lot of families go on ski holidays because it’s something they can all enjoy, if this sounds like you then La Molina is the place to be. It houses Spain’s first ever ski-school and ski-lift and it even hosted the Snowboarding world championships. Whether you are an amateur or experienced on the slopes it doesn’t matter, it has 68 kilometres of snow divided over 63 slopes for all levels. Also, if you fancy doing something else, then why not take a quick two hour drive to Barcelona. Of course, for a ski trip the Winter would be the best time to go, this is definitely ideal during the February half term when the kids are off school!
