Travel Disruption

Having just got a little respite from the rail strikes, London could still come to a standstill as snow is expected to strike the Capital this evening.

Airports, Rail and bus companies across the capital are expecting severe delays later on today and through to this evening, potentially causing major disruptions throughout rush hour.

Snow is expected to hit around 3pm today and has the potential to disrupt services at London City, Gatwick and Heathrow Airports.

Wintry weather has already hit Scotland and Wales and is expected to move across the UK during the day with temperatures plummeting to -10C in areas.

The Met Office has issued severe weather  warnings for snow for most of the UK. Higher ground will be covered in up to 20cm of snow, with 10cm on lower ground.

Gray Dawes Group would advise anyone travelling today to check airlines, rail operators and weather reports before travelling.
