Residual disruptions to flight services are anticipated at Heathrow Airport, located in the UK’s capital, London, following a security incident at the facility on 5 May.
Terminal 3 of the facility was closed and flights were suspended, following reports of a passenger attempting to evade security checks. While the terminal has been re-opened, further disruptions to services are expected in the coming hours, due to the backlog caused by the evacuation. An increased police presence is expected to remain for the immediate-term.
Clients scheduled to transit London’s Heathrow Airport are advised to contact their airline or travel team inquire about the status of their flight(s). Clients are advised to remain vigilant at all times and report any suspicious packages, persons and/or activity to the relevant authorities.
