The original Garden of Eden?

Dreaming of white sand beaches and shimmering blue seas?? No not the Caribbean but the Seychelles – not the first destination that springs to mind for an incentive but certainly one that delivers brilliant activities, beaches and views that you normally only dream of and a laidback vibe that shouts flip-flops and shorts.

Having just returned after a 7 day incentive for one of my favourite clients I am truly under the spell of the Seychelles, we island hopped in style with private aircraft charters, dined on incredible local food on one of the top five beaches in the world (Anse Lazio – wow) dived with the rays and relaxed in luxury at the Constance Epehlia.

Sweetly derived from the latin for freckles, Ephelia is the second Constance property I have visited in the Indian Ocean and one of the best in the Seychelles, having two beaches, one a protected marine park, an exclusive spa with delicious treatments, a full activity programme if you can face moving from your sunlounger, it worked a treat for my group – satisfying both the guests who like to be busy and those who wanted to find a private space to reflect and rejuvenate.

Its a big resort that manages to feel ’boutiquey’ with a good selection of dining options for a group. Junior suites are spacious with large balconies / terraces and set in small groups each with their own pool. Private pool villas complete with butlers work well for VIP’s or as an added incentive for your top achievers.

We flew the majority of guests from around Europe using Dubai as a hub connecting to the Emirates flight, schedules allow for the best use of time on the ground, travel time is around 13 hours but a small time difference of only 2 hours for the Europeans made it more than manageable. I had the luxury of a 7 day trip but the Seychelles would work equally well for a 4 night stay.

Absolutely not just for honeymooners and beach lovers, its an incredible destination with loads to offer groups and I can’t wait to return.
