Virgin Atlantic Introduces New Flight To Las Vegas

As of Spring 2019, Virgin have announced that a new route will be launched from London Heathrow to Las Vegas, which will be bookable from May 19th, 2019. This is on the back of the news that a second daily service to Boston has been added and the return of seasonal flights to Barbados.

The aircraft carrying passengers to Las Vegas will be a Boeing 787 aircraft and offer the choice of 31 upper class seats, 25 premium seats and 192 economy seats. Flights are set to be moved from Gatwick to fly between Heathrow and Las Vegas which will be launched on March 31st, 2019, the departure times will be 12:40pm and arrive in Vegas at 19:05pm.

Las Vegas may be known for its party lifestyle, but over recent years the number of business travellers visiting have increased. This is probably because it is home to the world’s largest conference centre and has some fantastic meeting locations available.

Shai Weiss, Chief Commercial Officer for Virgin Atlantic, said: “From spring 2019 we’re making it even easier for customers to travel from London Heathrow to Las Vegas and Boston by introducing new flights. The new services have been timed to offer convenient onward connections for UK and US customers, and feature our award-winning service, a three-course meal and inflight entertainment on every flight.  We’re also pleased to bring back our popular seasonal service between London Heathrow and Barbados to offer even more choice for holidaymakers.”

Even though Virgin are moving their Las Vegas flights from Gatwick to Heathrow, they have stated that they are still committed to investing in their operation at London Gatwick, by opening a brand-new clubhouse and check in area at the North terminal. They are also introducing their first automated bag drops which will open later in the year.
