Hollywood sign – You can’t visit Los Angeles and not experience one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. The Hollywood sign in Santa Monica hills is an icon, which is known worldwide as for many it signifies a dream and it has such a rich history. You can hike up to the landmark and take in some stunning views of the city and it has been said that once you near to the sign, you get a real feel of surrealism. Griffith park – Being the 10th largest park owned park in the United States, and one of the largest urban parks in North America, Griffith Park spans over 4,300 acres of land. It was named after the former owner “Colonel Griffith J. Griffith, who was a Welsh industrialist and philanthropist. There are many activities you can get up to in Griffith Park, such as visiting the Zoo and Botanical Gardens, or the Griffith Observatory. If you fancy something different you can take a trip to the Greek Theatre and Sunset Ranch. There are plenty of places to see and explore in Griffith park, so make sure you experience it for its full glory.
Staples Centre– This may not be for everyone, but if you’re into your sport or music then you may fancy a trip to the Staples Centre in downtown LA. Notably home to NBA teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, this is where a lot of the high-profile celebrities go to watch sport. There are also a lot of popular events that have taken place over the years such as the Grammy awards and acts such as Jay Z, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Kanye West being some of the more notable artists that have performed concerts. The arena has an excellent reputation for being one of the best in the world, so going to any kind of event here could be a worthwhile experience.
Hollywood Walk of Fame– One of the pinnacles of entertainment history, this landmark is known amongst many and honours many celebrities from over the years. It includes more than 2,600 stars within the sidewalk along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard, and three blocks along Vine Street. They represent achievement in the entertainment industry and show the names of actors, directors, producers, theatrical groups and musicians. It is a massively popular tourist destination for obvious reasons, as it is a must-see location in Hollywood. Besides, who doesn’t want to walk amongst celebrities?
