As the BBC have recently brought to light the investigation which the Competitions and Market Authority (CMA) have begun into misleading claims made by online hotel booking websites, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you how booking through a B2B specific booking tool, such as the one offered to Gray Dawes clients, can be beneficial in securing best room price.
The CMA launched their investigation in October, and have since uncovered evidence which suggests that a great deal of popular consumer online booking websites use misleading tactics to encourage you to book with them. “We are now demanding that sites think about how they are presenting information to their customers and make sure they are complying with the law. Our next step is to take any necessary action – including through the courts If needed – to ensure people get a fair deal.”
