Oxera wanted to be able to view data reporting online to enable them to see their travel spend activity per Oxera business entity as well as gaining visibility of WTT carbon data reporting for the annual travel booked by the company.<\/p>\n

The company desire was to ensure that both tailpipe emissions and the emissions associated with generating a fuel or energy vector were fully captured to enable a fair comparison of all technologies and fuels. <\/p>\n

OUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE<\/h4>\n

The first item on the agenda was to provide user access to the Oxera customer data reporting suite through PowerBI. Grant multiple user access as requested by Oxera, thus allowing the nominated users to view all travel spend data dashboards within the reporting suite.<\/p>\n

HOW WE SOLVED THE PROBLEM<\/h3>\n

In order to provide Oxera with a solution, I enlisted support from our data engineering team to develop the reporting suite to allow visibility of the powerbi dashboards. Additionally the next phase was to develop the reporting to incorporate WTT conversion factors in addition to the Defra calculations already provided as standard.<\/p>\n

WTT conversion factors were sourced and used to reprogramme a bespoke edition to the carbon data reporting already in place. The WTT conversion factors change over time, therefore these need to be updated annually to ensure accurate reporting of Oxera carbon emissions moving forwards.<\/p>\n

By providing the reporting access to Oxera, it has given them tangible access to their travel data through pre-designed reporting dashboards. Having this access also allows easy sharing of travel data and spend statistics within their business and also providing them with a facility to extract data at the click of a button.<\/p>\n

In addition, by developing the WTT conversion factors within the carbon data reporting, it has now given Oxera full sight of the wider emissions outlay. As well at capturing the standard emissions from the business travel Oxera make, the great benefit of this for Oxera is that it now allows them to capture an average of all Greenhouse Gas emissions released into the atmosphere from the production, processing and delivery of a fuel or energy vector. Providing this comprehensive calculation of carbon emissions has allowed Oxera as a business to accurately report on carbon emissions based on their annual travel spend. <\/p>\n
