Operations Manager

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Providing a high touch service to all clients, offering a consultative and knowledgeable experience throughout the meetings booking process. Working closely with the Events Bookings team providing a proactive approach to workloads, ensuring a strong team spirit whilst sharing knowledge amongst the wider events team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Taking client inquiries for venue bookings in the UK and overseas.

Utilising venue finding software.

Supplier negotiation and proposal writing.

Working closely with suppliers, venues, internal departments and team members.

Budget management and reconciliation.

Administration related to the events bookings process and some internal tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

CRITERIONESSENTIALDESIRABLE
ExperienceA minimum two years of agency experience.

Proficient with event technology, especially around venue find. Cvent would be a plus.

Adept at using Microsoft Office.

 Some GDS knowledge would also be beneficial.

Experience of automotive, retail, education, construction, pharmaceutical, public sector and fashion clients is desirable although you would work on a range of industry sectors in the UK and overseas.

Working with a multi office team.

Skills/KnowledgeStrong administration, communication and attention to detail skills.

Ability to balance and effectively prioritise a heavy and pressured workload to meet deadlines.

A creative approach to problem solving.

Excellent telephone and email communication skills.

Comfortable and capable with negotiation.

To ensure that all administration, both internal and external is of the highest standard.

To ensure all invoicing is accurate and up to date.

To manage credit card reconciliation.

To ensure all SLA’s and KPI’s are consistently met.
